also apparently this shit happens all the time, venture firms will buy either the rights to market or manufacture out-of-patent drugs with a really small market base and make a short term killing off a price hike. this guy just happened to do it really egregiously and be very unphotogenic, also to be descended from literal gangsters lol

If you read that guy's full history, the first company he founded was a hedge fund. He would short sell and then go around badmouthing the stock he was short selling, even lobbying the FDA to deny applications from the companies he was short-selling, for which he was investigated. Then he went bankrupt anyway but he'd also founded a pharmaceutical company. So he took the pharm company public in order to pay off the hedge fund investors with stock from the pharma. He was fired from his own company for doing that and also is currently being sued over it. This pharma is the third company he's founded, now jacking up pill prices by 5000%.

He is worth tens of millions of dollars.

was there a change in the nature of the soviet union between stalin and Khrushchev etc? like, did it stop being a worker's state? did the bureaucracy become a new class?

did the soviet union become an imperial power? if not what was the nature of the 56 hungarian and 68 czech interventions?
