I don't like staying at or near street eye level in any building where I have the option not to be, plus you get way more foot traffic. In conclusion, it's always better to stay above the first floor in a hotel. If you're staying in a motel or motor lodge I don't care because you're always moments away from invasion regardless of your location in the weird series of detached and rotting room islands.

i feel like i'm being ripped off. like... part of what you're paying for at a hotel is the fun elevator rides. it's like showing up at disney and they say all the rides are closed. sure, tipping over guys in heavy costumes fills an hour, but you bought a weekend pass.

gonna get in on the GROUND FLOOR of this thread with a first page post saying that i also don't like staying on the first floor but mostly cuz it's harder to smoke weed out the window

as a native floridian, i have lived in ranch style houses almost my entire life, or at least single story ones (i lived in a two story row house in dc but in the basement). therefore i am perfectly comfortable sleeping on the first floor of any building

I'm more concerned with the upright and metronome. Marimba/Xylophones have become accessories in southern catholic churches even with recent local attempts at immigration purges.
