I've improved a lot but it's mostly... like... I change my clothes every day... cook most of my own meals... Not like... getting a good job. Now I'm completely correct about politics though, so I got that going for me.

"It is well understood that no International has ever made a revolution. This applies to the International Association of Workers founded by Marx in 1864. Six years later, while speaking on the Franco-Prussian War, it appeals to the "French workers" not to indulge in revolutionary illusions, to take account of the real strength of relationships and above all not to be "misled by national memories of 1792" (MEW XVII, 277-8). Indeed, the Paris Commune sees his birth from the interconnectedness of the bourgeoisie / proletariat contradictionwith the national crisis caused by Prussian expansionism and the inability of the French bourgeoisie to face it. Some decades later the October Revolution broke out in the wake of the complaint of the "betrayal" of the Second International. Three years after Lenin produce an historical and theoretical that highlights an essential point: a revolutionary situation presupposes so many contradictions and acute as to cause "a crisis of the whole nation (affecting both the exploited and exploiters)" (LO XXXI, 74 ). Ultimately the Bolsheviks had won because he had proved the only political force capable of giving a response to the economic collapse, political and social caused by the war and the collapse of the Ancien Régime. Established in 1919 for the express purpose of spreading the Russian Revolution also the West, the Third International can not under any circumstances to live up to its program. Yes, a giant wave of revolution spread from the defeat inflicted on the Hitler project to build the "German Indies" in Eastern Europe and flares at the global level until the dissolution of the colonial system; but this wave takes place only after the dissolution of the International decreed by Stalin in 1943 and is powered by revolutions that, contrary to the expectations of 1919, see merge inseparably social conflict and national conflict. Finally, it is hardly necessary to say that the Fourth International was revealed to be only a farcical replication of the tragedy of the Third."

KKE, seems to be attempting to build up a revival of the International form, while Syriza seems to be trying to tie economic reformism form to appeals to national sovereignty. The former ignores the limits of economic co-operation between classes of widely different cultural backgrounds and levels of affluence without political co-operation (or better yet, union) at the level of states. The latter, by contrast, wants to take up the patriotic flag without actually promising or pursuing anything that would alter the current predicament of Greece in the international hierarchy. No exit from the E.U. , let alone from NATO, is on the cards, as far as Syriza is concerned. Instead, the figure of the nation is rolled out to raise expectation that, once disappointed, will tend to benefit the right, which certainly has more "direct" solutions than others for collective feelings of humiliation...
It will be interesting to see if any of political forces in Greece are driven to challenge the present European paradigm that continues to entrap Athens, and look eastward towards Russia and China, and southward towards the developing nations for alliances that will allow it greater space for maneuver:
"Many nations are in the same boat as Greece is: Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Argentina. Greece needs to make the necessary alliances with such countries and it needs to align with the rising Chinese block.
Doing this requires a psychological step that Greeks may be unwilling to take: a recognition that their interests do not lie with Europe; an understanding that Europeans are willing to see them impoverished, homeless and dead. Greeks who are living in the past and think the EU is about prosperity for everyone in the EU need to learn otherwise."
