that was the original post I made but it's been lost in the meme. since it comes up every time i post for 4 years running no matter the subject i'd rather it not be something i have to interrogate. and yeah its getting to the point where i just dont want to post anymore.
as for your actual question im not sure what you want. there's a radicalizing effect one has when directly exposed to the outsourced misery and exploitation of first world life but also a demoralizing effect when even as an anti-imperialist communist one is forced into reproducing the system of exploitation and commodifying human lives simply by existing as a white male tourist. this usually turns inward into forms of liberalism to "do something" but in fact the truth is I suffered no consequences and there's nothing I can do as an individual rather than as a speck in a mass movement. this was my original post

I actually agree with this. It's ok here cause this is an internet community and many of us have "known" each other for years but I didn't join the PSL for that very reason. There was a foul air of necrophilia in that party and I didn't want to be consumed for someone else's perverse self-loathing. And that's probably the best american party there is.
There's always going to be an element of this in any party, it is a party and not a mixer so there needs to be an ideological line and consistent proven principles on the part of the members. but when it becomes a self-consuming monster where the most oppressed get pleasure from bringing low the guilty liberals and class traitors who come by as a substitute for the real enemy that is a problem. I'm sure I've posted about it at one time or another in my many years here.
