Something about an annual global weather convention

I'm sure things will go well and they'll all agree to meet next year .

i've been to lima and it's a pretty chill place. what's great is the fact that the embassy area where every other participating country has a representative building, the U.S. does not. they built their own fortified valley in which to conduct business.

my friend is at this thing i think. i can ask him what he thinks about it when hes back, i think hes pretty resigned to the fact that our current institutions can't/wont do anything about climate change, but idk if he knows about the science of Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse Tung Thought yet.

let's just use a controlled detonation of the methane lakes under siberia to hurl ourselves into the sun. I'm tired of waiting
#6
let's extinguish ourselves, as well as everything else on this planet, by lighting up planet sized farts

i did a project in undergrad about the thorium fuel cycle which is apparently comparatively really safe but never got funded because you can't make weapons out of the byproducts. thats my nuclear power story

when are they going to shut up and start building more nuclear reactors

when nuclear reactors become a more efficient way of monetizing the destruction of earth than fracking is

#17
actually the reason we can't build nuclear reactors is hippies. hippies are scared of atoms and they have corrupted the market with emotions and regulations

what's even funnier is that canada and the us are sitting on enough thorium to meet global power needs for something like thousands of years but it basically gets tossed aside as dross in rare earth mining, or apparently sold to china at a pittance

#28
west virginia is the worst part of the worst part of the worst part of the worst part of the thing
#29
west virginia is great because despite having their groundwater contaminated to the point that drinking it would be lethal, the people were still corporate apologists and fine with it. Freedom Industries, lmao
#30
west virginia: collapsed doesn't even come close to describing our mines
