i have an npr buddy who listens to npr all the time, it tells you how to fix your car and then brings in an ex-mossad from WINEP to tell you to bomb syria for the next three hours on three different shows from three different countries

so my opinion is: he's a guy who has been interested in making massive-scale art projects with online elements for a long time
and he's got this amazing knowledge of like deep internet culture
he's a creative person and that's how he ended taking a good job at buzzfeed
and that's fine
and this is his side passion priject he's been working on for years
i met him back before either of us worked at buzzfeed
and he was talking about working on a new project
i jsut realized, the first time i met him was the same week he bought the horse ebooks account
(though apparently he didn't buy it)
anyway
people are mad becaise
1) everyone had that sinking feeling of "damn i got duped" and they're mad
i totally felt that for a second too
like
omg i'm pissed
2) people think that this is related to his work at buzzfeed, which isn't true1:23 PM
3) people are being dicks about critiquing whether it;s "art" or not
which is like
