the best part of bop is the intrigue, roleplaying and diplomacy, the stats stuff usually takes away from the fun imo. freeform countrysims are much better than bop for that reason. did you play any of the rio grande games? eg http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3549600 (i think there were some on eregime too but ismail deleted them)

I think I have a ruleset that satisfies gameypeople and the drama-people now tbh. most stats are now hidden publicly and you have to use spies and such to gather information

nobody told me what this game is so i cant say for sure, but i dont see why it cant be fun if you get to like strategize with other people and make alliances and pacts and see what happens and shit.
