I also want to disabuse you of the notion, Lessons at the risk of me posting rep, that I have been trying "the Assad line" for 3 years. I've actually spent most of those years advancing your line, and then events happened such as the effective kneecapping of the U.S. push for bombing by Moscow and Damascus and the Stratfor leaks and Hersh's stories and so on and I realized I had been dumb and I was won over by "the Assad line", i.e. what Crw had to say about the patriotic bourgeoisie, so dreams really do come true. i'm not the world's greatest socialist but I'm proof that the system works and I for one won't mock you if you change your position.
