plz don't make fun of the graphics or I'll die but feel free to critique parts of the 'festo that are underdeveloped

discipline posted:this is really wonderful. how has the reception been?
ppl have been receptive (it spurred a couple other groups in the city into action, I think like two women's anti-imperialist fronts have popped up that were directly inspired by our group) but there's been criticism w/r/t our line on prostitution which we expected
swampman posted:who is this going out to?
this is going out to women who are already somewhat radicalized, it's an attempt to put together a coherent marxist/proletarian feminist line. we don't intend to hand out our manifesto to random proletarian women though cause that would be alienating. Instead we're hoping to hook ordinary working women thru workshops, discussions and intiatives that relate to women's issues. we wanted to take a firm stance against bourgeois feminism, liberal feminism and identity politics which we feel doesn't relate to the lives of proletarian women

um part of it is typical leftist disunity. one group was an initiative of the communist party of canada/young communist league who we've been having some semi-public disagreements with lately, whereas the other was a dormant group created by the other maoists in toronto that was re-ignited. there's no reason we won't be working together on certain things tho

What did you do, 'tard?

minor technical things i noticed:
Pg 1+2 - You put an asterix next to "transpeople", but there does not seem to be an associated footnote.
Pg 4 - I don't see a ending quotation mark for the Epstein quote.
Pg 13 - "They should be places..."
littlegreenpills posted:doesn't really matter, i said a bunch of didactic incomprehensible crap about my thoughts on how to best convince proletarian women and ppl in general that smashing capitalism is the feminest thing not least because i had been very quiet and wanted to open my stupid mouth at least once
ugh FUCK that was you??

i hate the atmosphere of having to talk at least once that small meetings have, mainly because i'm not so good at book reading

the asterik after transpeople is some dumb pomo bs that was included that I had no control over. it's not a footnote type deal, i have no idea what it is even
Genderfucking can also fall under the umbrella of the transgender spectrum, which includes a variety of individuals, behaviors, and groups that tend to deviate from the traditional gender expectations, although genderfuck and transgender are not synonymous. Trans man Max Wolf Valerio points out that "the conflation of genderfuck Into the transmovement has confused and eroded authentic transsexual voices. Although there's nothing inherently wrong with gender-bending, gender-fuck, and the assorted hyphenated identities becoming common in the queer world, I must ask: What does it really have to do with my life?"

I have this problem. i actually got into an argument with my girlfriend about education policy and was extremely didactic, in a situation that 1) didn't require didacticism because she knows what she's talking about 2) was completely incorrect anyway even if she were "wrong" somehow
i think it comes from the internet partially, and the attendant need to 'blow someone up' when they disagree with you or lose cred, and partially it comes from my own basic lack of respect for people, and the other part is the lack of interaction I have with like-minded people irl. that's part of the reason why I'm trying to join a party locally, so I have some place to blow off steam, so I have other people to talk to besides nice but extremely conservative people at work and my other friends who are not really political at all. so it isnt this mind-numbing binary of either being effectively silent or screeching and looking like a complete tool. thanks for reading.

i understand this, i mostly stay quiet about a lot of things in many situations because it's like all these things just come out of me all at once and i imagine talking to me about these things is like opening one of those snakes in a can and at the end you have the same "i thought these didn't even exist anymore, that wasn't even really funny and just pretty annoying and now there's paper snake everywhere and how do i get it back in the can and this sucks" look on your face
