that limit's about to be raised by 30% by the Fair Elections Act (lmao) tho (along with a host of cool voter suppression measures and cuts to electoral programs for those who aren't keeping up with canada's rapid ascent to exciting new frontiers of shit)

now theres effectively no individual limit now since you can just give to a bunch of PACs (see ex. 3) who all give to one candidate or w/e, effectively laundering your money
