well the way he uses the term is classist, i meant. he's referring to people who live in what amounts to little shacks or motorhomes on the outskirts of towns, forming whole industrious little communities as trash. if they are trash they are holy trash

a lil while back i spent a month in the netherlands and thought i'd get some kickboxing training in because of how serious they are about all that stuff. the immigrant population of the gym was all super friendly but many of the dutch were total assholes. anyway my friends that I was staying with were involved with dutch anarchist stuff so I tagged along to an antifa protest, itself a highly tragicomic affair, and saw a crowd of about 60 nazis or so counterprotesting, separated from the antifa by a chain of bike cops. some nazis started walking up so I walked up to get a closer look, and we realized that we all had been training together the day before. fuck the dutch, the end.

I've got some great Rotterdam racism stories, here's one.

We were visiting with friends and an Egyptian friend insisted on going out by himself to find a sports bar so he could watch the African Cup of Nations, where Egypt traditionally does really well at football. This despite our suggestion to give up on this stupid idea, and the fact that nobody else wanted to go with him.

He later ventured into a half-empty venue where the dome-headed bartender was busy drying up mugs with a dish towel. My friend asked "where can I watch the African Cup?", to which the bartender replied "In Africa." without looking up. My friend left quietly.

my mom is german and simultaneously believes that there is no/very little racism in europe and also that germany is being ruined by all of the russians that showed up after the wall came down, not to mention the turks or the lazy east-germans who didnt know how to work because socialism
