it is absurd to rail against the liberal arts when the entire area of focus you propound as an alternative falls squarely within the the most useless subsection of the field and is emblematic of its most masturbatory excesses, basically

what do you think i misunderstood about you
I don't pay much attention to you, so I don't really have a list to give you. I doubt you pay my posts more attention. You're clearly confused, ignorant, and inexperienced about a lot of things, at any rate.

Some 120 papers published in established scientific journals over the last few years have been found to be frauds, created by nothing more than an automated word generator that puts random, fancy-sounding words together in plausible sentence structures. As a result they have been pulled from the journals that originally published them.
hahaha so let's trust climate change scientists unquestionably

Olds play it like the past was a time of work, but they sat around drinking strong cider and playing whist like 14 hours a day.
the usual criticism of marketized universities is that they only teach "marketable skills" at the expense of intellectual stuff but this is already too optimistic. the real market-oriented "skill" taught in undergraduate degrees is how to accept this sadism, like the hazing done in a fraternity, since none of the actual work done in nearly all undergrad courses resembles anything even on the market itself.

do you have a JD? I don't get why you would need an MBA if you already have a JD unless it was needed for corporate law

Right, I already have a JD and I don't think an MBA has much to do with law enforcement. On the other hand, if I was to leave the legal field I guess it would be helpful, depending on which institution issues the degree.
It would suck so hard going back to school, though.

wtf why not? that sounds like fun, especially since you have everything and everyone that's existed in the past two milennia. relax, take a bunch of cocaine and reap the rewards of capitalism until you either die of a drug overdose or can buy your own island and restart classical sparta by recruiting a bunch of middle-aged ex-marines with ptsd to follow you around with assault weapons.
TG posted:you should try and get appointed to the bench. judge seems like a proper position for a learned and highborn man such as yourself. also, there are probably very few positions outside of criminal law available to people who have experience solely in criminal law
I'm way too young and inexperienced to be appointed to the bench; judges should be elderly, cowled gentlemen with wooden staves and long white beards. Give me another 30 years. That's not to say there aren't a lot of terrible judges, but that is just a mark against America rather than a sign that I'm an ideal candidate. I'd sooner support someone else above me than put myself forward right now.
I'm not looking for another job right this instant, things have been p great at work lately, but in this office everything can change quickly. I think a good next step would be in-house compliance counsel, or some sort of civil litigator. Or just leave the legal field altogether for some government, political, or academic position. Wouldn't mind being a professor in China.
