Michael Dunn convicted of attempted murder; jury can't decide on murder

i know this forum is heavy on irony and light on sincerity and shit but America is a terrible, horrible, irredeemable shit-hole of a country.

and vigilante killings like this are the tip of the iceberg.

hundreds of people are killed by cops every year but we don't know the details because police depts don't have to disclose anything:

maybe im just callous, but he is facing at least 60 years in jail on the three attempt counts, which, since Florida doesnt have a parole system, means hes probably in until hes 107, and likely for longer than that. whats the point of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on retrying this case on the one count of first degree murder?
#9
lol what a bizare result, "he totally tried to kill three of the four people in the car but failed to do so probably because the body of the guy he did kill was in the way" dta

Because he murdered that kid is the thinking, I believe.

We're all consigned to a hellish existence of meaningless suffering on this prison planet anyway, so why spend thousands of dollars retrying the guy anyway? He'll get his when net neutrality really starts to crumble.

Sorry, I know you weren't really saying anything like that. I'm just real sad about this thing.

no need for the torture, just having to read your letters is enough.

liberals believe long prison sentences are a deterrent and suitable punishment in cases like this when they make arguments against that logic in all other cases.

i simply want murderers of black children to be held accountable in the same way murderers of white children are held accountable.

this might be an opportunity for victim-offender mediation in a few years because of double jeopardy laws. just kidding, that would endanger the pending civil suit

ah yes, the rule of law, which is a real thing, and true, like liberalism. you might say justice should be blind?
