honestly I didn't know about it until I went and saw it at the art institute last year. the Thracian Lycurgus is already obscure enough. it's a really cool cup, though, and they did a fantastic job of displaying it; they had it set up in a nice glass box, and it would alternate between being in darkness (green), and then being lit from above (so it turns red).
