Now imagine that you didn't have a rolex. You couldn't afford one, not lucky enough to win one, and no one would give you one as a gift. Okay, fine, it's not like you'll die without it. But wait, other people – rolex-wearers– notice you aren't wearing one and these blinged-out morons start calling you a faggot and a loser because you don't have rolexes like they do. You get a reputation for being one of those people without a rolex, excluded by others when they start trading stories about how great it was getting their first rolex, and what the best way to wear one is. Social opportunities that have nothing to do with wearing a rolex are suddenly closed off to you. Not only are you victimized for not having a rolex, everything else about you is exposed to ridicule and you're told you only have yourself to blame for any personal difficulties incurred by not owning a rolex.
In the end who is the bigger victim: the person whose rolex was stolen, or the person who never had a chance to own a rolex to begin with?
If you didn't figure it out yourself, the rolex is sex.
