in a perfect world this wouldn't be needed as everyone would be as vigilant as i am in referring anyone with slight depression or who just give off a weird ambiance to the police for sectioning

just a helpful reminder that this monitoring can result in a control order which imposes (among other things) a curfew, restrictions on the use of mobile phones, internet and even interpersonal relationships with named others, prohibition from certain areas of employment or travel abroad — with no charges, no release of evidence, no mandated expiration date and a penalty of up to five years' imprisonment should you happen to breach the terms of your non-sentence
