zizek regularly admits that part of things he wrote in the past are complete bullshit and were basically written to earn money, most of "living in the end times" is weird luddite crap about biotechnology and the stuff about quantum physics seems like nothing more than a pointless simile, he admitted that at the time of "the sublime object of ideology" he was just a parliamentarian democrat, and he's stayed in the burj al arab hotel in dubai and flies first class and whatnot but i can't escape the impression that somehow the lacanian-hegelian stuff that's beyond the "public zizek" from the stupid guardian articles really is worthwhile.
