my earliest 'political' memory: wearing a flannel shirt skating up at the local park, my mum picked me up and told me princess di had been in a car crash and i laughed for some reason.

earliest non-political memory: going to a rolling stones concert as a 5 year old and having my dad point out that the smell coming from the people in front of us was 'marijuana'

i remember learning that Princess Diana had died from the news as soon as i walked in the door from me and my friends thinking we saw a UFO and i was instantly gripped with the certainty that the two events were somehow related because i am literally insane ahahaha

i actually really wanna learn how to speak serbian but i don't know any speakers and it isn't offered by my university. i could try and meet new people but my lack of motivation in that regard is a big hindrance

Theres one good city left in this country. it has one active duty cop and plenty of cheap housing. it's called Cairo, Illinois and you should probably bring your own beer
#135
well cay-ro's almost free of white people so that's a plus
#136
good ole cairo
#137
we'll always have cairo

the rhizzone could probably pool together whatever money weve got lying around and buy like half of detroit
#140
isnt one of the major problems in detroit the fact that there are a bunch of people who own a lot of property but are refusing to sell?
#141
maybe but who cares when the rest of the city has been foreclosed on and is for sale at irresistible bargain prices
#142
i will sham marry khamsek for uk citizenship if she sham marries me for american citizenship
#143
are not sham marriages, solely for citizenship, the most pure act of sacrifice, evidence of the greatest love, which by definition knows no boundaries, which it is possible for two people to share?

one winter when i was a child my dad took a vacation to bermuda. just by himself. which seems like an odd thing for a man with two kids and a wife to do. just fuck off to bermuda for a week or so and soak in the sun. i'm not sure what trouble he got into while there.

i grew up in the skinker debaliviere neighborhood and while our clump of houses was pretty "nice," not even half a block away the joint looked like a warzone. i remember there was this block of five or six red tenements three or so houses down from my house that looked like something out of syria. one of the buildings was like 10 stories tall and it was missing its entire back side. that place was surreal, cause the neighborhood opposite to us was pretty much a gated community and you could also literally walk to wash-u, which has now gentrified the area to an almost unrecognizable extent. st. louis is crazy.

ever read that children's book Motel of the Mysteries? it's told from the perspective of a mediocre archaeologist in 4022 who stumbles across a motel room deep underground that's been perfectly preserved with two skeletons inside, one in the bathroom and one watching TV, and he interprets it as an elaborate King Tut-like tomb
