a charismatic, hopeful, and willful advocate against war and child labor and in favor of education. oh, that's ghastly. and her father is so gauche as to say pressure your government to "send books not tanks, teachers not soldiers." how cliche, how terrible, how middle class, how simple.

i don't know what that means

i'm paraphrasing Stalin's judgement on the political power of the Vatican and striking an ironic pose advocating a boorish masculine militarism.

did you really see that much hate for Malala here?

in my opinion, the taliban are a c.i.a. asset and political islam is in the service of imperialism. in another closely related opinion i hold, yousafzai is probably good and cool. thank you for reading good luck & god bless.

malala is a trot and trotsky was clearly the only old bolshie with his head screwed on so thats ok by me

roseweird, i do not think there is as much antipathy toward malala yousafzai as you perceive here, though perhaps i am the one who is blind.

however, the u.s. is the most bloodthirsty nation on earth and it constantly calls for and celebrates the death of its enemies. that same bloodthirsty warmachine has been trying to prop up malala as a propaganda piece to support its continued interventions in the middle east. the truth of her radicalism (trot tho she may be) and commitment to women's rights is immaterial in this context, except as it supports a certain agenda.

it may sound trite, but it is absolutely true that had she been hit by a u.s. drone instead of a taliban bullet, we never would have heard of her and her death would have been just another justifiable statistic to all the pundits and politicians trying to shill for the ongoing war for Freedom and Democracy.

though i am strongly on the 'against' side when it comes to the great 'should we shoot children?' debate, i recognize that i am already complicit in child murder as a u.s. resident-- which i find far more offensive than the jokes made on this known hate site, rhiZZone.Com.

i think you are right that she could be a figure who advocates for radical change on the world stage. that is certainly my own hope.

but it is also a very lot to ask from a 16 year old, however intelligent, kind and resourceful she may be. i am sure she understands the situation in pakistan better than i do. i am less sure about those using her name for their own ends.

lots of women resist oppression. no one hates malala but it's also valid to raise the question as to why she has become such a figurehead in western media / hype
#264
you'd have to have a distored reading to think any of us actively hate a 17 year old gear. except iwc. iwc keeps sending me facebook message about how he 'cant stand that malala bitch' and stuff... i'm considering reporting him because the statuses are also clogging up my news feed
