the mind of a pig is probably similar to the mind of an 18 month old baby. but i guess the true babies are people who refuse to take peaceful human extinction seriously in light of the demands of blood and suffering our giant population makes on reality.

The problem with pig as pets is even if you get one of the small breeds like a pot bellied pig (I think these are really ugly btw) it's still going to be huge, like around 150 lbs which is extremely heavy for a housepet. I've heard there's truly miniature pigs with a reasonable weight but those things are freaks of nature probably have extreme health problems.

Dogs were created by men to be companion animals. I know we put pigs in fences and stuff but I dont think theyve been domesticated in the same way. Pigs are really smart though and if there was a society of animals, I think pigs would rule the day.

There are 68.4 million head of domestic pigs, there are about 5-6 million feral pigs, and there are maybe 70,000 pet pigs, in USA. So these cute pigs you ppls are focusing on, represent the most privileged .01% of the pig population.

I think I probably posted this before. This is a necessary level of suffering for the distribution of pig pieces to continue. They load in so many pigs, that each pig at the bottom is compressed into a single bacon bit for harvesting.

you joke but that is a serious method considered when attempting to control invasive or pest species. Unfortunately disease resistance builds up quickly and viruses/bacteria typically adapt to be less deadly overtime, reducing the utility of such biocontrols. Parasites have a much better record, mainly because you can keep them at artificially high population densities by growing your own in the lab. As far as I know parasites have only ever been used to control insect populations though, never macro-vertebrates.

actually i remember reading that chickens arent classified as "animals" according to some legal definitions so that animal cruelty laws dont apply to them so that factory farmers can fuck with them to the extreme, you know the 10,000 chickens in the tiny crate so none of them can move and then all their beaks are ripped off so they dont peck each other and all kinds of horrors
