Stephen Hill, the porn star who played Obama in Palin: Erection '08 and went on a sword-slashing rampage at his workplace, fell 50 feet to his death this morning after an eight-hour police standoff, with scores of photojournalists watching.

Late last night, Hill scrambled up the side of a cliff with the LAPD, SWAT team, and crisis negotiators at his heels. For eight hours, he threatened to kill himself; negotiators tried to talk him down and members of the media circled the scene from afar. The LA Times' photos show Hill standing at the cliff's apex, samurai sword pointed at his chest. With taser wires extended from his chest, Hill eventually fell to his death. It is unclear whether the taser caused him to fall, or whether he purposefully leapt. It is also unclear whether Hill's sword was same weapon he used to slash three colleagues—one of whom died—at the office of porn distributor Ultima DVD. Ultima had recently fired Hill, who performed under the name Steve Driver. The victim who died, Herbert Hin Wong, had costarred with Hill in pornos, under the name Tom Dong.

I liked her for the way that she withstood the sneers, jeers and insults of the progressive establishment. It can't be easy being a prominent woman in public life having to put up with endless speculation about the sexualities or reproductive capabilities of you and your family.

And you know what? She was genuinely likeable in a way that the too-clever-and-jaded-by-half liberal media establishment most assuredly isn't.

Worst of all though, is that Pex was right all along, Obama really is an empty-suited, blank canvas, snake-oil peddler with a date-rape smile. Man he gives me the fukkin heebie jeebies when i see him smile these days...

I heard John lennon's imagine in wal-mart today. People humming along to "imagine no possessions" while filling there rolling cages with all sorts of crap. It reminded me of mishima, whose works were enjoyed by all but when he espoused those ideas in reality he was laughed at. There is no harmony of pen and sword. Art is a meaningless fantasy. Yes it's great to imagine but we needn't do anything more, in fact those venues for imagining might actually do more harm than good, we resort into those fantasies instead of doing anything about it. What we can imagine, we needn't create.
