so she thought she could create 25 million jobs through spending and easing and somehow also thought that this would not create any inflation. i asked her to post her macroeconomic assumptions on her website and she did not.
this is literally the exact same thing allende tried

you know who was able to deliver full employment?

correct because it is a system of voluntary contracts. there are plenty of wind turbine jobs just no socialist slave gang to force the "unemployed" to take them
how can you people even entertain the notion that macroeconomic data has any validity in the real world? look at this term "unemployment". it's an aggregate of the conditions of millions of completely disparate individuals in totally unique situations - it can't be aggregated. macroeconomic data is the worst kind of collectivisation, since it is hypocritically enforced by the liberal state in the name of staving off collectivisation.
i'll have you combating liberalism yet

In the past liberal states imposed standardization in measurement in order to enforce a more robust system of property rights and contract. The Quebra Quilos ("break the scales") revolt in Brazil was a three month long uprising against the government's imposition of the metric system, which the peasants believed was a Masonic plot.
What kind of economic world would we live in if we still measured by the medieval ell or furlong? It would upend basic assumptions about what it is for something to be equal to another thing.

Ultimately, it all boils down to one thought: Yes, you can say you’re a woman, but your physical reality makes you something else. Something in-between. Look, it’s not like I require the women I date to be cool with having my dick inside them. In fact, I’m fine if that never happens. But being shut off from the very idea of it, not even considering that having my penis inside you is different from having a man’s penis inside you? That hurts. It’s such tiny slight that I wish I could get over it, and not let it fester into something I feel the need to write an essay about, but apparently I can’t.

le_nelson_mandela_face posted:seriouspost time: one thing i've noticed from years of sincere and insincere trolling is how annoyed, offended and baffled every human being gets upon presentation of a systemic critique that's new to them, or simply an opinion that exists outside of what they have determined is the scope of the debate. it's really a fascinating phenomenon. as chompers writes, the mass media has gotten extremely good at limiting these occurrences, though they do occasionally happen. my favorite example is when kanye west said "george bush doesn't care about black people." this is an arguably true premise, based in some evidence, and certainly one held by a significant fraction of the black community at the time, but you couldn't throw a free trade muffin without hitting some pious liberal denouncing kanye for his unseriousness and unhelpfulness in unreasonably criticizing an incompetent idiot president that they hate just because he let few thousand black people die. it's not just liberals; lolbert video game redditors turn into flailing dervishes when people criticize the gender roles in videogames, conservatives chimp out whenever one indicates that America isn't always trying to do the right thing in foreign policy, commies spazinate when you point out that troops aren't poor or western jews are white and privileged. basically all you need to do to "troll" the average person is just present an idea they haven't heard before with some evidence and watch them turn into a raging mass of psychopathology
this is why absurdist humor and schizophrenia are the only correct ideologies

They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth.
