halloween's never really done much for me, i think i don't really get the point. aren't we all already dressing up and pretending something every day already, like oh i don't know "my labour is not going towards some ridiculously futile waste which enriches billionaires at the expense of the people" or "the developed world is not hurtling full-speed towards catastrophic failure and using all up our fossil fuels to do it" or "it is possible to exist outside of capitalist hegemony"

my mom used to tell us a story as kids where she said some kids dressed up like ghosts and put a rope around their neck so they could pretend to fly and they choked to death so ol' donald not going as a ghost, which is nightmare fuel.

Backlash emerges at parents who allowed child to dress as Klansman for Halloween

A Craigsville, Va., woman’s nonchalant reaction has sparked additional outrage after she allowed her 7-year-old son to dress for Halloween in the robes of a Ku Klux Klan member.

Jessica Black of Craigsville told WHSV in Virginia that there’s nothing wrong with the costume or the Ku Klux Klan. “It’s suppose to be white with white. Black with black. Man with woman and all of that.”

A photo of her son was posted to the television station’s Facebook page by a viewer, leading to public concern. Black says she’s received threats via Facebook as a result.
