i just saw an interesting tumblr post about how it would be cool if everyone over a certain income bracket were automatically chased by paparazzi, and it made me think, why don't the paparazzi follow around the elite? insufficient interest in these people due to paparazzi-generated content's viewer demogs (which i assume is 90% depressed housewives too busy escaping their own personal hell thru vacant media to care about macroproblems like a sinister elite)? could hounding down these people (just as pop and movie stars are) be a good, pretty funny, LEGAL form of soft class warfare? should the left be publishing cheeky tabloids for the sole purpose of giving old mean mummies some grief and maybe making left politics accessible and entertaining to follow for everyone?

This does happen somewhat with politicians in the likes of Italy and Spain particularly in scandals involving exposing personal expenditures on luxury items. Though as you mention the target market for paparazzi photos is usually housewives and so the paparazzi focus on celebrities. Those more politically aware aren't concerned so much with the mundane extravagances or movements of the elite. At least not enough to sell the trashy papers which pay these paparazzi.

if you're drinking something other than sherry port or whisky then you're doing it wrong

special exceptions granted for ouzo bai jiu nuerhong and other alcohol if you're in the right place

Uh, no. Port is the philosopher's drink. Bai Jiu is the appropriate beverage for any meal involving a lazy susan, and makes business go smoothly. Ouzo or krassi is what to consume cheerfully every day while you eat sardines and octopus and cheese and olives because no one works in greece ever.
