goon rush to fund kickstarter for hot dog "restaurant" in alabama, goons stupidly fund 15,000, 'restauranteer' turns out to be terrible cook and racist
lol at the goon that pledged his family's christmas money, lol harder at the goons that pledged 500 and 1000 dollars to this 'charity' so they felt good

dont let him big time you
hey donate money t othis guys restaurant also can anyone tell him what a kitchen is? rob goons get money
getfiscal posted:$15,000 is a lot of money to give a random failson or whatever but at the same time it seems like a very small amount of money to launch a restaurant from scratch. i mean i get it's hotdogs but still. did people think it was going to be like a 50s diner except with hot dogs so good they'd win awards in france or whatever.
you dont GIVE AWAY money to someone opening a new restaurant period unless youre too dumb to understand basic finance and business
hell youre usually pretty dumb if you loan money to a new restaurant as an individual considering how much more likely it is to fail than every other failure-prone business

someone i know posted this on fb and in the comments someone replied "it's better to feel appreciative than guilty!" as long as youre aware of your innate, unearned advantages, youre golden
Fucker's even landscaping now. What ISN'T this dude willing to do to make the bitchin'-est hotdog stand in Where The Fuck Ever, Alabama.
I know we're absolutely not about telling a guy how to run his crazy hot dog empire, but... I broke down and asked him how married he was to the processed cheese. The only real objections to his dogs that I've heard in this thread are the chilli and the cheese. He's already assured me that he will be using thicker, better, home-made chilli when he actually opens, but man... I just can't help but think that even to a Southern palate, some grated medium cheddar would do wonders for that dog.
EDIT: I'm surprised this guy's even sleeping, for the past two nights I've been up way later than I should checking to see how much is pledged, and then checking from my phone when I wake up in the morning. It's actually really fucking cool to be a part of something like this.
EDIT: Via the power of shitty late-night math, goons have been giving this guy $125 per hour, 24 hours a day, for three days. Give or take.
I got a reply, apparently he himself prefers shredded, but the world-famous (I guess?) Pink's Hotdogs uses processed so he went with that for the photos.
It seems like every time we think this dude's done something stupid, it actually turns out that it was actually the product of some pretty sound reasoning.
meanwhile this guy is just sad
Per my previous statement, doubled down. $1k total pledge, done and done.
My son and wife agreed to forgo their xmas gifts for this, they thought it was worth more to do something for someone than to get something.
in conclusion,
