It's rather hard to read, but you can check the site yourself.

The USSR always ranked poorly compared to European countries. Tsarist Russia at least was ahead of some, after 1917 Russia remained behind all.

Russian life expectancy began declining after the 1960s, collapsed in the 90s and only began recovering recently.

You can blame Gorbachev for everything that happened if you want but the reality is is that Russia was out of credit by 1989 and had no way to keep living off of borrowed funds from western countries.

Consider that Finland broke off from Russia in 1917, remained capitalist, and grew far faster than the USSR.

Also the USSR was extremely polluting and resource intensive so I don't think you can edge something in there.

western living standards were subsidised thru exploitation of latin america and africa.
on the other hand the ussr's gains are pretty damn impressive

10/10

The USSR's colonies (Cuba, North Korea, Derg) still did worse than the capitalist colonies.

if the relationship between the ussr and the other socialist states was exploitative why did their economies collapse alongside the ussr's? because they were being economically supported, not exploited, by the ussr, that's why

There's some truth to that, the capitalist countries require raw material imports to sustain their living standards. Perhaps if we had only stayed Juche...

The USSR had low imports out of necessity, not out of choice, because its nonoil exports weren't competitive. When it increased trade deficits in the 1980s to slow the collapse of the system, it ran down the currency pretty fast.
