everyone is miserable here, life is difficult being beaten by cops, unemployment, the rising bourgeois and their screwy tastes that arelike an growing mold, terrible work. no one is welcome here and it's a pestilent city full of bedbugs and no where to go at night unless you want to attend the latest development in the dilettantor circuit or the most disturbing "social justice" activisms.
I can't imagine the degree of naivety of anyone that "enjoys" it here, however much you can enjoy a city of depressed and drug addicted losers that are quite literally better off dead.

but enough about DC

That could easily be about half a dozen major cities

i understand that in minneapolis they have fully enclosed walkways between buildings downtown so that you dont die an arctic man

It's basically a very early example of the privatization of public areas, keeping the outdoors dead and sterile while protecting the downtowners from undesirables.

Honestly, the greatness of the cook county legal/law enforcement community aside, the city is fantastic as far as cities go. It's a massive city with everything you could want, it has the diversity of neighbourhoods that should offer everything any given person could want, and yet it's affordable and doesn't suffer from the restrictions of a shithole like New York. If you have to live in the US, and you want to live in a major city, Chicago is tops. The only down side is that the museums kind of suck in terms of ancient greek statues and artificats, but the museum on Michigan ave has an extremely good ancient Chinese section.

That museum also has The Portrait of Dorian Grey in it which is probably a metaphor for something.
