tp, it wasnt some half backed backstory, it was actually the main point of the movie. the use of space was metaphorical and also a good excuse to make some really interesting/intense visual effects

also legolas shows up in the trailer for the next hobbit movie and was all like wtf?! hes not in the hobbit!

You do realize that in order to stretch out the Hobbit for a trilogy they had to pad it out with parts of the Silmarillion and other bits of Tolkien's notes

Its a good date flick, a good flick to bring your parents to onr their anniversary, and a good flick to knock back a beer or two with your friends, online and off!

#125
even though theyre splitting it into a trilogy, the first one is still 4 hours long

I liked it but someone needs to tell Zizek to lay off the blow! Like, did the crew just kind of awkwardly not make eye contact when Slajov did a huge line between every shot?

he doesnt do drugs iirc but i remember hearing someone has he might have mild tourettes? but yeah it was good and i think i liked it better than his first one
#134
I've heard anecdotes of him being seen doing coke at social functions, but might be total bullshit. With the heavy sweating, constant nose rubbing, and hyper mannerism he seems coked out of his mind.

Saw a dude with catatonic schizophrenia once. Motha fucka just sat in his chair all day with his left arm in the air. Some people say it's some sort of psychological disorder but that dude was OBVIOUSLY on heroin.
#136
declaring that someone is obviously "on drugs" because they do something unusual is really dumb way of trivializing people
#137
i saw elysium it was gay and exploited liberal hairtriggers in order to get Proud Book Readers to pay to see an action movie (smart ploy tbh). the space station was designed really cool tho. i cant stand jodie foster

my favorite part was how "the problem is the system" issue is solved by literally rebooting the system. in this way our silicon valley overlords will pave the way for a revolution that minimizes loss of life.

actually it waws COOL like my above post on the aforementioned phenomenon. Elysium was a social figurativist movie about how the vanguard is needed to do battle with the mercenary forces of capitalism entrenched in neoliberal atomized individualist ideology [mercenary; in his ninjasuit], weaponized by the infallible science of marxism-leninism [his own robosuit made of junks & pieces] in order to seize the state (robots) . Also the vanguard is white. Free healthcare = red healthcare? Jesus christ

yeah, you remember your imagination as being so great when you were a child, but face facts, you were way stupider and more easily impressed then

Hearing somebody does a drug a lot, then seeing that person act as if he is on that drug, is not exactly a big jump. Especially since he doesn't act like this in almost all of his other videos.

The horror films of the 30's are pre-code Hollywood at it's most bizarre and decadent, check out The Black Cat for some good old fashioned torture and implied necrophilia.

actually i had a far more sophisticated visual imaginatino than i have now, probably due to watching too many movies and playing too much games. it helped that i didn't have a tv as well probably. obviously my child genius level of brainpower has been diverted in more useufl directions than complete visual representations of books im reading.

…we drove out on the golf course and parked and we're sitting there talking and for no particular reason that I could see she lifts herself up and slides off her knickers and hands them to me and gets out of the car. I asked her what she was doing and she says: I'm going to fuck your car. Jesus. She tells me to leave the door open. Turns out she wants the domelight on. So she goes around and climbs up on the hood of the Ferrari and pulls her dress up around her waist and spreads herself across the windshield in front of me with no panties on. And she's had this Brazilian wax job. And she begins to rub herself on the glass Don't even think I'm making this up. I mean she was a dancer right? In Argentina? She danced at the opera thing down there. I've seen the clippings. And she does this full split and starts rubbing herself up and down on the glass and she's lying on the roof of the car and she leans down over the side to see if I'm watching. Like, no, I'm sitting there reading my email. And she gestures at me to crank down the window and she leans in and kisses me. Upside down. And then she tells me she's going to come. And I thought, well, I'm losing my fucking mind. That's what's happening here. It was like one of those catfish things. One of those bottom feeders you see going up the side of the aquarium. Sucking its way up the glass. It was just…Hallucinatory. You see a thing like that, it changes you.

Last movie I saw in theater was the remake of Carrie. It was better than I expected. I expected it to be pretty bad. I just went to see it so I could see a girl with psychic powers murder a bunch of white kids. Just to blow off steam.

I liked what they did with it though. I give it a one thumbs up.
