I have done one called Rhizome in 2011 if that helps. That was before I joined Rhizzone however.

Instead of rap music first, ponder on Mark E Smith and remind yourself of his wonderful masterpieces.

When the time is right, embrace Kool Keith, Chuck D, Ghostface Killah, Chali 2na, Boots Riley and the many other Mark E Smiths of this generation.

Look, other internet white, your rap appreciation is the wrong rap appreciation, and I, masami akita, purveyor of middlebrow collaborative noise, am the one to correct it, via collaborative name drops

Dog named MAO huh?

interestingly enough (but not really), Māo (猫), with an even tone, is mandarin for "cat," while Máo (毛), with the rising tone, is the name of the Chairman. so if you were speaking mandarin and used the wrong inflection on the word, you might accidentally say "chairman cat" instead of "chairman mao"

likewise, posting chinese words/names without the accentuation leaves the distinction ambiguous. so lazily posting "mao" opens up plenty of room for cat double entendres

#53
The pet is a dog but called him Mao because it is like when you call someone who is massive, tiny but mainly because mao sounds like meow.
#54
yeah, if i had to guess i'd bet 猫 was an onomatopoeia

hey merzbow, what do you think of the idea that harsh, abrasive music isn't really shocking or subversive anymore and what's REALLY shocking and subversive is music that confronts us with the repugnacies of the late capitalist aesthetic (eg james ferarro's far side virtual)

i love pop music. i listen to the top hits station most days now. the cream rises to the top. classic rock is for klansmen and underground hip hop is for poor people.

DO NOT listen to it with headphones
#71
And how would Shields, a control freak – let's be frank – prefer people listened to his recorded output?

"However they like!" he says, before reconsidering. "But perhaps not with headphones. It wasn't made to be listened to on headphones."

katy perry is one of my favourite artists. her new song "roar" is great. time to leave the indie stuff behind, or whatever lute-plucking nonsense marjory likes.

it would be cool to meet someone who plays a sitar and find we have a deep soulful connection and produce amazing improvisational duets and uhhh then maybe we can meet a drummer who, you know, we like and all but probably they can't really appreciate how deep our connection is, sorry, the drummer is kind of a third wheel, i know it's not really fair but that's how it is

do you like gucci mane roseweird. do you like this song
