I'd seen some other stuff on this dudes blog and it was slightly alarming but this is unbelievable. "national liberation" in scare quotes
that article is actually really good as it is Marxist and consistently references class.

Remember when Nick Kristof claimed parents in West Virginia were deliberately keeping kids illiterate to get disability benefits and it turned out he made the whole thing up.

Well this episode had some funny moments like the plane crashes and the abrupt execution of Zimmerman, but I really think as far as satire goes it wasn't that sharp or even that inspired.
I guess I should disclose that from a strictly legal viewpoint, I feel the Zimmerman verdict was absolutely correct. The subject matter of this episode could have easily taken shots at both the Zimmerman defenders and the people who overreacted to verdict as indicative of runaway white supremacy in America, particularly the various celebrities who chimed in. Attacking politically clueless and opportunistic celebrities is what Trey and Matt are best at and I'm disappointed that they played it safe here.
Overall, I think this show has lost a lot of its edge in recent years.
