failure of capitalist production. which was on my ereader sitting on the table in the break room when a guy walked in and we had a conversation about the hot chocolate he was getting from the hot chocolate machine (gratis, thank you fred smith), and there are two spigots on the machine, both make hot chocolate but one is fucked up and makes super chocolatey hot chocolate that is like a sludge. and I said something like "I always avoid that left hand one" and he said "yeah same." and then I said, "I mean I shouldn't be having any of that stuff anyways but if I'm gonna have it I'd rather avoid the pile of sugar" and he said, joking, but also not joking due to the overdetermined aspect of neoliberal hegemony, "man if you can't allow yourself some hot chocolate you might as well join the communist party."

Well this episode had some funny moments like the plane crashes and the abrupt execution of Zimmerman, but I really think as far as satire goes it wasn't that sharp or even that inspired.

I guess I should disclose that from a strictly legal viewpoint, I feel the Zimmerman verdict was absolutely correct. The subject matter of this episode could have easily taken shots at both the Zimmerman defenders and the people who overreacted to verdict as indicative of runaway white supremacy in America, particularly the various celebrities who chimed in. Attacking politically clueless and opportunistic celebrities is what Trey and Matt are best at and I'm disappointed that they played it safe here.

Overall, I think this show has lost a lot of its edge in recent years.
