supposedly pacing yourself is a good way of avoiding burning out so if you can keep at a pace you feel comfortable there won't be a problem

just what ive read, ive never put any effort into anything ive done in life

Maybe you should accept your weaknesses and not try to organise people. Let's be honest, you don't really know if they should be organised to begin with. In the immortal words of that guy americans blather on about, "let it be", man.

I dunno man I'm working really hard and I can barely take care of myself. I don't count myself as a union organizer yet, that said, they are basically superhuman. I am so exhausted and constantly undermining myself, down on myself, whatever. I'm probably doing ok but I am constantly terrified because I don't think I can live up to these incredible physical, mental and emotional expectations while also inspiring people to mobilize

hang in there!

is the cause of your depression rooted in the fact you have a job in finance and it's an ideological disagreement?

i only am depressed sometimes. when i think about it. .... no, realistically-- i am also very lonely and alienated etc, but that is probably because i am not in the right environments... because i work in finance among people who have very little actually in common with ideologically. .... but, i also think that sincere work in agreement with my ideology is completely sisyphean so basically: whatever, fuck it. i don't want to whine anymore in this particular thread though, there are other ones i do that in

good job everyone who does stuff that they feel good about
