a friend of my dads grew up in the same area of suburban jersey as david chase and says he recognizes some of the characters as being based on people he knew growing up, including one of his middle school teachers or something. so yeah its definitely based on the jersey suburb experience

last night a huge python snake broke out of its container in a pet store and broke through a wall and went through heating ducts and into the bedroom of two children and bit them and they died. pretty metal as far as child deaths go. don't keep pets.
