Did you know in the old west, cowboys avoided straight whiskey because it was usually poison and instead ordered fruity mixed champagne drinks and that's how a lot of cocktails were invented??? Also there were very few deaths from shootings. About 1 per cattle season. And places like Dodge City had extremely strict gun control laws? So if Americans really acted like a bunch of cowboys it would actually be much much safer.
