he made quite a lot of money by informing the Japanese on the rest of his comrades and getting them arrested, then after the burmese national army revolted and kicked the japanese out he gave them the names of all his fellow informers and got them arrested too. he gave the money to his son, who used it to open a vegetarian restaurant which was immensely popular and delicious among the Hindus and Buddhists, because he had a giant pot of meat gravy in the back and laced all the vegetarian food with it

oh yeah depressed fucked up people buying dogs that surely will do the opposite of spreading misery

Working with dogs is definitely helping me with my anger problems, since getting angry or impatient is always the 100% worst way to respond to anything a dog does. I bet a lot of people here struggle with anger. Having a companion animal can really help with that stuff. It can restore feelings of self worth because dog exhibits a very pure and simple form of unconditional love as long as its treated with the same. It can make a depressed person feel capable of caring for another's needs and by extension xher own. A dog is also a gateway, not a substitute, for humyn interaction, because there is a whole world of dog owners out there who spend a great deal of time on their dogs and want their dog to be friends with yours even if you are slightly unlovable as are so many of us.

an sometimes they lick your face an make you laugh. haha!!

my paternal grandfather was a military man with anger issues who my grandmother divorced when my dad was a kid; she married another military man who sometimes hit her and threw my dad out of the house when he turned 16.

my maternal grandfather was a respected german immigrant with a phd.

my family is a product of social programs to assist poor whites, the new laxity in mixing labor aristocrat and bourgeoisie blood, and a wholesale buying of the american dream; it almost killed my dad because the more money he earned the more weight he gained and the more depressed he became. it took us losing a lot and him taking on multiple jobs for him to normalize.

as my family has become poorer we've become better; i want to live poorer. we have dogs. i'll have dogs.

my grandpa on dads side died in january from cancer i didnt know him well and i think he molested some of his kids???

my other grandpa died in april from lung cancer and smoked until the day he died. he was a big participant in AA too, and they held his funeral at some place an AA friend of his 'hooked us up with' (it turned out to be a bingo palace)

it got weird when one of the AA dudes got up there and talked about my grandpa chasing down a naked prostitute (of 'his') because she owed him money

real weird.

my dog ran away during a big blizzard two years ago and my family loved him very much, especially my mom, who used to dislike dogs in general before we got him. whenever I mention him now she scowls and says "that fucker"

What would you guess was the risk at the time that this could have gotten him killed

the communists shot my great-grandfather in 1962 and ran the rest of the family out of the country including my mom who still has PTSD so ultimately it was very very high. i dont think this was directly connected to the restaurant though

I do think it would be appropriate to criminalize possession of a non-spayed or non-neutered dog unless you have a breeder's license. I dont think breed temperament is all that important when we're asking what are the "problem dogs" that shitty owners like to get and mistreat and turn into mean animals. In my area the most common evil dog was the boxer until pit bull got more common in the last ten years, now the dogs to look out for are weimeraners and GSDs.

Every once in a while I see some tough dude with a big tough masculinity issue walking a big GSD off leash and i do think it should be legal for me to kill his dog

To get to the bottom of this question about dogs, I kicked a dog until it produced the symptoms of a severe concussion. Clearly the answer is that dogs can suffer concussions. What's scary is that according my research 100% of these concussions prove fatal. So be careful with your dog's brain!
