it seems to me, at least from the outside, that "feminism" is such a huge set of ideas now that there are definitely sub-strains of it that are basically equivalent to shitty liberalism, and so you end up with people like that "i'm a prostitute and i make a million dollars, so prostitution is the best thing ever and women who are against it are against women" woman that discipline mentioned in her thread, who wraps herself in the flag of feminism and uses it to push her bizarre ideas in a way that confuses people unequipped to grapple with the idea that feminism is more than just a homogenous idea-brick, or that once you stick the label on something, it's not automatically good

obviously if you take things like that as a reason to reject feminism as a whole, you are being just as dumb.
