it's kind of a bummer that louis ck had a bit of a copout in his new special by saying soldiers deserve to be shot at and killed but framing it as a devil's advocate statement

well to be fair to him he will probably get thousands of death threats despite the disclaimer. if he didn't include anything he'd probably just get shot right there on the spot. no one minds a comedian making jokes about how great rape is or who he might want to rape or will rape or whatever but saying GI Joe needs a bullet is wayyyy too crazy dude

well yeah right after he says if it wasn't for slavery nothing we like would've been created and everyone's a-ok with that

it's almost certainly a right wing dude because it happened on tax day.

america never finding out who did this will be a more symbolic ending of its hegemony then the never fulfilled creative destruction of the great recession + the entire flailing bifurcation of continued embittered military dominance mixed in with confusing pulling out of wars combined

its like god cutting our your eyes

In the summer of 1996, the world converged upon Atlanta for the Olympic Games. Under the protection and auspices of the regime in Washington millions of people came to celebrate the ideals of global socialism. Multinational corporations spent billions of dollars, and Washington organized an army of security to protect these best of all games. Even though the conception and purpose of the so-called Olympic movement is to promote the values of global socialism, as perfectly expressed in the song Imagine by John Lennon, which was the theme of the 1996 Games even though the purpose of the Olympics is to promote these ideals, the purpose of the attack on July 27 was to confound, anger and embarrass the Washington government in the eyes of the world for its abominable sanctioning of abortion on demand.

It was the master of maggots

Authorities in downtown Boston have identified and arrested a suspect involved in the double-explosion at the finish line during the Boston Marathon on Monday. Footage from a nearby department store and TV station helped identify the suspect, which reportedly captured images of the suspect carrying and possibly dropping a black back at the site of the second explosion.

Why has the trail gone cold in the Boston bombing? ... It is because our society is still dependent on this myth of white supremacy to hold up a national identity that enables the continued subjugation of billions worldwide, including the American poor, seen in their laziness and lack of material success as unAmerican and generally portrayed as non-white.

Even the papers here are full of mawkish Bostonian sentimentality, the news showed some clip of a heartwarming star spangled singalong at a Bruins game of shit, and I hate it because it’s starting to make me resent everyone involved. If you bring up the fact that 30 Afghans were killed by a US bomb around the same time you get waffle and accusations and evasion. I just want some prominent person to say honestly

“We grieve more for the Americans because they are more human to use: their rituals are identifiable, they speak our language and a century of mass-media has led us to identify with them. The Afghans are crazy savages in the middle of nowhere and therefore they mean less to me: I do not care of their rituals, the nature of their grief is lost on me through circumstances of language and culture. Their kids look a little bit like mine but they’re holding dirt instead of ipads and I don’t really know kids like that. Their poverty and desperation makes me both guilty and fearful. ”

I just people would own their tribalism instead of posturing as humanists and covering with idiotic excuses.

why should Americans care more about Afghanis than their own citizens, brothers, neighbors, lovers, relatives, friends...???
