i would have thought that prostitution would have largely died out with the advent of internet dating being able to get you roughly the same chance of sex but free, if fatter, but i guess people are still willing to pay for the convenience and otherwise dont make rational purchasing decisions

all evidence indicates that in most (although certainly not all) cases of prostitution going bad, the prospective john is the injured party, via fraud, shakedowns, robberies, and so on.

i think in the case of superempowered women who only do prostitution because they want to fund their social media relations startup or something they should definitely be arrested and fined and put into special diversion programs because prostitution is immoral.

i think we can all agree that the issue of prostitution is complex, and that most people who support sex worker unions are well-meaning, and that even if they are somewhat misleading, their attention on the issue is usually a positive thing. we're not demagogues here.
