when taking time away from the occasional indymedia manifesto, how many other people here are doing "paid volunteering" as security for an org? you are in cults too if so.

I hope your not implying all organisations are culty because outside of LaRouch (if he even counts as left which he likely doesn't), Spartacists and the Avakian lot that really is not true.
The oddness of ABC party loyalty is something odd in itself and to make it be culty kind of undermines what it actually is.
its easy to get people interested in socialism if your not an anti social broken toy
and you shouldnt be pushing books from the get go and maybe that is what is wrong with the left and why all online leftists mock papers when all trying to swap super advanced theories and thinking that is what the movement actually is concerned with
that point can change among leftists who are obsessed with flag flying though as that can create a real elitist atmosphere and organisations built around that they although about as cultish as a badminton club can certainly turn it into a language game which puts people off
but really:
the movement
the way theory works in reality
the conditions your working with
that is literally all that matters and not having that at the core of whatever periphery you decide to dedicate yourself to in an attempt to be a marxist then before you know it you will be completely unable to talk to normal people and only be fit for the odd border world between the ABC organisations and independent ego drive useless lumps of red thought who have no ability to explain it to anyone except through snobby gritted teeth
like honestly i dont get this entire anti human thing it only seems to actually exist among people so disconnected they replace all thoughts on the contradiction between ideology re: the everyday conversations you have with people with an all encompassing almost existential pessimism which likes for some reason to pretend its the one truth of reality
you could just be joking though in which case the religious thing is way better its genuinely a bit insightful especially re: challenging alot of "online radicals" roots in the entire atheism oddness of the noughties

obviously?
this is just outlining the hows and whys of ideology and democracy fits into constructing socialist positions
if your just going to write tattle at least try to get a point that cuts to the core of contradictions in revolutionary socialism

usually speaking to people from the ex socialist bloc just gets me more confused about how to judge the history of the place
i have never heard anything actually consistent from people and although their seems to be a vague class split on views its all so varied
i guess that is all part of understanding it was actually an existing political economy more then a utopia though which is step one to actually thinking about the place properly
getfiscal posted:this is because leftism is the simplistic idea that "people should share" extrapolated into entire fantasy systems that make it some sort of angry imperative.
