pfft corporate limitations, private sector is soft and weak. They regularly get overtime, bonuses, and they desire security and vacation time. Working where I am for the government is draconian; no overtime, no bonuses, no job security, no flexibility when taking vacations and no pay-out for comp-time when you leave. We outperform the private sector every day of the week.

last small business i worked for paid his workers at most a third of what i made doing the same thing in another city, but he wore tie-dye and smoked pot and was real friendly and thought of himself as a real cool, liberal dude

Australia has 4 weeks mandated vacation a year + relatively high wages and exchange rate compared to America, that's how i managed it.
