Today I showed up to my daughter's school to pick her up and I had on a nice shirt and tie, some roses, and a box of chocolate. Then we went to the Golden Corral and we killed the Chocolate Fountain. I did all of this for less than $30 bucks.

If you are a father, and you have a daughter, be the example of the type of man that is better than "Good Enough" for her. I'm a big fan of going the extra mile for my girl, especially because you kids get me on most weekends. She gets it though. She understnads that my only motivation is to spread happiness and smiles, and she knows that I have the coolest job in the galaxy. HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY CAROLINE!!!

i spent valentines day reading faulkner and adorno and drinking red wine and not talking to anyone and it was great. this time last year i had to go to dinner with a girl and talk and have sex and it was awful. Cool
