That was a good movie, thanks! Two small things I especially noticed: the guy saying they didn't have to use fascists right after the footage etc of Italy--although i suppose it's possible that I'm getting slightly confused and just because they did that in the years of lead (60s-80s) doesn't mean it happened in the immediate postwar period. Or maybe its even the inevitable result of the strategy: once you've used socialists and christian democrats to get rid of communists, then the socialists look like the extreme left, and so you have to use fascists to get rid of them. I'll have to rewatch that Gladio documentary soon. The second small thing that jumped out was the list some guy rattled off of the various methods of "indirect aggression" communists use--hidden in the middle was "persuasion".

I noticed that too. He might not define the elements that made up Gladio as "fascist"

Oh yeah that reminds me, you probably know this, but the guy who directed this also made a Gladio documentary.

William Colby, DCI under Nixon (who earlier in his career actually had personally set up the Swedish Gladio network in the 50s)

Yep, that's the one I had in mind, thanks for the embeds + the names of the guys. Interesting that it's the same director. The Gladio documentary is from 1992 so maybe he was clued into it from following up on the statements from this one.

I haven't watched his Lockerbie documentary yet but seems like he pissed off the right people so I should get around to that
