She blew a bit of air through her lips, and the smoke went into a chaotic frenzy, twisting and writhing through the air, then stopping, and resuming its former pattern. Avril watched it for a while, all the time never taking a breath of the smoke, simply resigned to observing its ways.
The ancient clock on the mantle struck two. Avril little heeded it, although it was two o'clock at night. She waited a few more minutes, and then, tearing her eyes from the cigarette, she smashed it into a nearby ashtray and got up from her position. Walking over to the window, she looked out into the moonlit night.
The moon was a bright white, full and radiant, and the sky was an unbroken stretch of black, scattered here and there with stars. Fog clung close to the sides of buildings and streets, so that one could barely see in front of oneself. The wind was almost completely quiet, except for tickling a couple of wind chimes lightly, just to break the all-encompassing silence that hung about the night, giving it a restless, eerie mood.
is this really from john christy's F&D? can you post the rest of the book too? tia

"Why do you have to zip up your pants every time you get off that hog, Travis," Punchy said. I nearly fell off the bike, aghast. "You got a pussy in that thing?" I coughed and gulped. "Hahahaha, nice one, Punchy," I said
