I am definitely not voting, I got better things to do. 'Withdraw from their political terrain' and all that. They're gonna replace the politicians with technocrats probably, like they did in Europa

how long are the backwoods survivalists going to hold out after the supply chains break down and they can't drive to costco to stock up on batteries and ammo

yea, definitely, no use putting faith in the signifier 'democracy' when we gotta put faith in Ourselves!

i got nothing better to do on election day in all honesty and im under no delusions as to how ineffectual it is, so may as well vote for all the PSL/peace&freedom candidates and call it a day; it's essentially the equivalent to withdrawing from their political terrain

I like the big sticker i get when I vote, I like to put it on my jacket and walk around where other people can see me. I feel like a citizen, like an adult. I think people who don't vote should be forced to live in habitrail slums of mcdonald's playscape tubes & sewer pipes and this should funnel them all towards a giant hamster wheel they can run on until they learn the value of voting.

nader went around trying to get a democrat to primary obama but no one would listen to him.

noam chomsky should run to be the libertarian candidate for president.

vivian said that on voting day australtastica the suffrage enthusiasts all get sausages in buns, like theres a cookout at all the polling stations. i lived in a little town for awhile where you voted at the fire station or the school and id be worried that the people grilling at the school might set the vote booth curtains on fire and then the firemen would either have to run over the people voting in front of their trucks or let the children burn. so they'd have to hold a vote to decide truck/burn death and then if their voting grill caught the second level of firemen would have to truck/burn them, etc, no thanks i'll stick with stickers

hahah nader is the most irrelevant dude in every way

in canada they have a law that you aren't allowed to report on results until the polls have closed everywhere in the country. people on the west coast were legit angry that they would hear results from ontario at like say 8:30PM when it was 5:30PM there and the polls weren't closed yet. so they would say "the election had already been decided in ontario so why bother voting in BC."

also one of the best troll things was that in a number of elections liberals would win a majority without winning many seats out west so the west would see the results come in of like 100 Liberal MPs in ontario when there were 103 seats there (seriously) and be like fuuuuuuuck i guess our overwhelming majority of conservative nutbars will be irrelevant once again. don't worry happy ending the conservative nutbars took over the country once ontario decided to shift to them.

the funny part is that he still placed third in 2008 but no one cared. like he got over 700 thousand votes.

ron paul received more votes as a protest write-in than all the socialist (SWP, SPUSA, PSL) candidates combined.
