i would join the military if i weren't insane.

but then... would i join the military if i weren't insane?

war is a good way to get rid of young men, who are otherwise useless and dangerous elements to civilized society. a man can only become civilized through marriage to educated women, or by surviving war. soldiers are objectively superior to civilians.

not to say that war is good or that young men are bad, but simply that given that they are both facts of life and are so wonderfully complimentary, i think its best to continue to feed young men into the hellish holocaust factory that is the military complex, for collective (and even their individual) good.

It's weird 'cause one of the reasons my family escaped from our latin american banana republic was my mom's legit fears that i would grow up to join guerilla fighters in the jungle. Even if we hadn't come when we did she had all sorts of plans to ship me far away before i got old enough. I used to think about that a lot because i was always a huge fat nerd my whole childhood and i figured if i'd never come to the first world i'd have never gotten soft. I did dumb anarchist/marxoteen stuff as a kid but it was decidedly in a first world matrix.

One of the more relevant things about this is my mom kept trying to join the revolution but they kept kicking her out on account of ~ladyparts~

anyways i'm suprised no ones done the fallout thing yet

War is great! Well, it's terrible and stupid and so on but that's dumb industrial war. As long as we're farmers and not nomadic hunters, humans will have endless war of one kind or another.

I joined the miliitaire because the only thing I wanted was to die in a battle. That's all. What's funny is that I thought I was alone in that desire. But after reading historical memoirs and history stuff I guess for lots of recent human history, dying in battle has been the highest hope of lots of people. My dad did some minor intelligence stuff but never glorified fighting, he luckily avoided all of vietnam and would just tell me about drinking with his friends in tropical places + berlin. I actually met one other person who went through an identical thing as me, wanted nothing in life but to die in war, enlisted right after school because they got depression and could barely attend after they were 16, then got kicked ou t for getting hurt after 3 months. and now we're basically twins if one twin never got medication and stayed fuck up and the other did and figured out how to be an adult with friends, jobs , hobbies, relationships etc. I love them anyway!!

War is the only way young men in our society can really be themselves, heroic insane killers, brutal rapists, angels saving innocents, devils slaughtering the innocent, whatever he is, he can be in war. I think we need to start an Aztec Flower wars style tradition to cultivate the good side of this.

its so cool how republicans claim they're the strong guys who are tough and always pull the usa into impossible to win without nuclear weapons wars. theyre such fucking dirtbags. at least let our men get some glory and war trophies. they dont even fucking let them drink beer or have sex with iraqi girls! What a retarded protestant hell world. led around by dickless jews as well! gross!!

I love war! I think its the best! I hate it too. I feel the same way about guns. they're so great and the only way to make someone like me equal with some 6'5 giant rapist but at the same time other people use them to do terrible things. War is geat! good thread!

please pretend that this is an ironic post wondering whether it has ever occurred to anybody that our species evolved in a state of constant conflict against nature and each other, and that maybe we have specialized ourselves to that so much that we are basically insane when our society is not in a state of violent conflict/war

"War is father of all, king of all."

"We must know that war (polemos) is common to all and strife is justice, and that all things come into being through strife necessarily."

'This world, the same for all, by none of gods or men was made, but is now, was, and always will be an ever-living fire, kindling and dying in measures'.

war is beautiful. i love peace because it leads to war, and i love the short peace more than the long one.
#27
peace leads only to decay. thousands of people die from car accidents and street crime and their own stupidity each year. they die without honour. give them honour. give them war.

having grown up in post soviet ukraine (born the year of its collapse) with the leftovers of chernobyl still lingering in the air, Kravchuk was probably on tv talking about The Wars We Had To Face Together while i was a little babbit playing with my relatively tiny pile of legos (because nike backsteetboys onyx nintendo and lego were the first things to show up to a newly democratized ukraine), i always fell under the prole spell of not being too concerned with war, and if war comes along, i'll probably end up polishing the shoes of and cooking dinner for the nazi Guest like my greatgrandma did in rural Drabiv when ukraine got occupied. though it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that communist russia went ahead and starved its "own" population in ukraine to feed the rest of the Union, it does kind of make me sick to the stomach knowing that my grandma had to live off of one potato and a loaf of bread for weeks because someone in moscow officially decreed that all kolhoz regiments in ukraine ship their food to russia leaving literally nothing to the very country that grew the food.
so ya i guess what i'm saying is, when it comes to war, food is what i worry about. insulin levels. the shit in our blood that keeps our saturated fats around long enough for us to not starve to death. And not to sound like a prick who partakes in Pride of any sort i do sort of feel that the average slav is more resistant to famine than most. however, i don't see that as something to be proud of. just means we're always concerned with food when everyone else is looking for a gun to defend their homeland. that's what we get.

when it comes to where i'd perceive myself if shit got down to its worst... well all that comes to mind is sitting next to some ancient aussie abos with crusted up feet and just observing... and wondering whatever the fuck happened to the minds of the people involved in "war." it aint the same shit as a tribal battle over a wife or some property. it's something i inherently can't and won't understand. when did they lose their capacity to think in dreamtime? i don't know if this makes me a shaman or some shit or if im a reincarnated goat from 4857 BC but i literally cannot believe that full out war that encompasses civilians and innocents is ever even considered as a plausible solution to anything. so when the shit hinges on the space race ill be sitting there with the abos drinking kava and holding up my middle finger not only as a "fuck off" but also as a "get the fuck up there.. go on.. we can't wait to see you leave in ur pretty little chrome shuttles to settle some miserable fucking cluster of asteroids that oyu will never feel like you belong on"
