everythingisterrible has a funny website and all but they (whoever they are) did some horrible thing where they went to arthouse movie theaters and played a bunch of their clips, which sounds cool in the abstract, but then like 5 or 6 of the people working for/affiliated with the website? would run around in costumes and fuck around on a casio and say dumb shit loudly in a halfhearted attempt at accessible irony, so anyway fuck them and i hope they get hitlered

gwarp posted:I would like to recommend "A Sociology of Food and Nutrition: The Social Appetite." It reads like a textbook but afaik it has a single author and all of what he or she writes in the book is either original research or meta-analysis.
I linked to this book in another thread and what I most like about it is that it outlines how much control the food industry has on government issued health regulators by having them grossly exaggerate the role of exercise in maintaining one's health while practically ignoring the far more important idea of simply eating less. the logic goes: "the more people eat, the more money we make, so make them eat more."
it's actually really interesting and an easy read because of it's textbook like organization: http://www.amazon.com/Sociology-Food-Nutrition-Social-Appetite/dp/0195551508
recently consulted with a client that they are overfeeding their dog, resulting in hyperactivity, thats probably what happening with USA and both ADHD and also the extension of the 40 hour work week to 60 then 80 hours then later, 120 hours. you all can thank khamsek for making this post possible.

thats really funny. a bunch of the names ive looked at are clearly two people. like there's a republican representative in utah who has the same name as a guy who was once a moderator of a discussion at a dsa conference in the late 70s, cleary the exact same guy. nice work. another person named "Karen Morgan" was in a communist party in the 80s and is now apparently a democratic member of the utah senate. lol

thats a lot of detail, about 60-70% of the articles on communists in congress are a single quote copied and pasted from an AFL-CIO petition in support of the affordable care act. the title of the wiki is from glenn becks theme music which is really good which is why i go there.
