Hooray. All kinds of this crap going on.

Frank Ashley felt the shifting winds several years ago: As state officials embarked on accountability measures for K-12 teachers, he said, he told his faculty colleagues that public sentiment would eventually demand such measures in higher education.

Now, Ashley, the vice chancellor for academic affairs for the A&M System, has been put in charge of creating such a measure that he says would help administrators and the public better understand who, from a financial standpoint, is pulling their weight.

Colleges have played a double game of offering stuff like that alongside their lawyer and accountant tradeschool stuff. ALl those people getting english degrees heavily subside chemistry labs and stuff like that.

A good liberal arts education is fantastic way to make a person well rounded and a good person for the world, which is what they were invented for, proper education of rich peoples' children. Now that rich people have decided that they want the rest of people to be their servants only, we can stop pretending that the rest of us have enough money to do anything but execute the whims of our masters.

they'd love you to believe that reading a book is a threat to their ideology. in reality, no one gives two shits what you study. in most cases of american universities, what they teach you actually makes you more moral, more guilty. the world order proceeds.
