i'll be hoenst, i get really fucking paranoid and angry when people tell me to log off lol. i'm like, why? why do you keep posting and telling me, specifically, to get offline? it's always posed as concern for me or else that im 'too good' for it, yet you continue on? why do you want me to quit so bad? i am inclined in those moments to interpret it as either like paternalistic chauvinism or fear, idk. can't get over this suspicion of people's motives

https://www.researchgate.net/figure/An-IRC-network-compromised-by-an-open-server-letting-untrusted-operators-enter-the_fig2_314782309

lot of people been telling me i trusted someone i shouldnt have and i can think of so many possibilities my head is spinning. impossible to say really but its weird to ever expect privacy on a networked computer at all, and its also near impossible to say whos a rat at times. so i will continue on as much as i suffer for it because i can do nothing else. pure will/drive. its time for me to read schopenhauer

they're great and still very comparable in performance to a new machine. if you Care about gaming it's got an intel hd 3000 which is going to be the limiting factor. just look up performance specs if it really matters to you, but it can run a lot of things very well still. if you're truly psycho it has an expresscard slot and you can build a cheap egpu setup if so desried

hello rhizzone this week a fucked up dude who looked like he lived in a sewer chased me down the street when i was trying to deliver food at some guys house. then when i took the food back to the takeout place the owner squared up and called me a motherfucker but the only thing he was brave enough to do was harmlessly kick my bike's tyre. i'm now being recruited by a different delivery firm with a fixed hourly wage, company vehicle, uniform and actual insurance policy

in not work related news i put a pirate tv station together in my house. two chained 24DB adjustable amplifiers feeding a dual biquad antenna i made, more or less omnidirectional about three house lengths range with a good receiving antenna. it could probably be much more but the other amplifiers i have are dogshit and need a bunch of things fixing out of the box. this is illegal but i dont care because its an unassigned channel and nobody else can pick up analogue anymore

back on old mothership Laissez's Faire subforum, there was a thread called "sadbrains thread". I posted exactly one post in it. At the time I posted that one post in that one thread, I was working at a non-profit helping people receive some marginal amount of health care, including mental health care, from programs that determined eligibility using the poverty line defined by the United $naKKKe$ federal government.

Anyway my one and only post in that thread said that if the people in the thread were depressed, they should probably not try to cope through a discussion thread on a Web site where telling someone else to commit suicide is part of the microculture. No one listened. Because I was ignored as a powerful posting entity obscenely ahead of my time, we now have Twitter, where the in-group identifier is being able to tell someone to commit suicide in a way that can't be proven in a few seconds to a tired moderator in Indonesia somewhere who looks at a thousand micro-posts just like that one, every single day.

This is a "tHE r H i z z o n E" "house style" post but I don't mean to be cryptic here. What I mean is that people may be telling you to log off not because they think bad things about you, but because discussion online is at best moderately aggravating to everyone most of the time. Everyone involved in it knows that it's aggravating and participates in that, and they're relieved to type "log off" at someone for once in earnest, in the genuine hope it might happen and that it would be a genuinely good thing for someone else if it did happen, instead of typing "log off", etc. in the usual mode of sarcastic fatalism. It's possible those people wish they could muster an excuse or justification that might convince them in their own minds to do themselves what they're advising you to do, because they know it would probably be a good idea for them too.

thank you, this is helpful at a time when my brain is too fried by paranoia, hallucinations and depression to think correctly let alone parse intention on the forums. i know i can do that better at another time, as i have for years, in trhe past and i'm embarrassed by my cognitive failings at the present time in teh extreme. that's schizo stuff i guess. thinking about trying an antipsychotic again but this hasn't proven to be helpful for me in the past and as i'm sure you can imagine i've tried a lot of them for varying lengths of time. last attempt i had a tardive dyskinesia scare so i might be at the point where that's not even a good idea to fuck with anymore. i see a new psychiatrist mid-december but idk. not even sure what to do at this point

edit: doing derailment right here i just noticed upon re-reading. evry cool

Posting into the void, waiting for a response that may or may not come and may involve only a questionable meme is fuel for overanalysis and paranoia. If you are very anxious about it, it might be better to just leave it be for a while, think it over, take a walk outside without looking at screens. Internet communications can be stressful but the advantage of written text on online messageboards is that you can take your time to respond, never respond at all, or simply post goatse - often the superior option.

ganbatte. I'd ask the psychiatrist about the medication, if there's one thing this world has right now it's a lot of different medicines available.

#9340
i am feeling far less paranoid today. i took a medication called perphenazine that sent me to the er last night due to giving me "extrapyramidal symptoms" which is like tardive dyskenisia but not permanent. uncontrollable tongue and mouth movements, highly unpleasant. they gave me benadryl and an ativan injection and i passed out in the ER for like 12 hours. told me my potassium was really low and gave me an orange drink over it. after all that i came home and slept more and i feel way better. i think since they are probably helping the paranoia, i need meds but definitely not that one. been experimenting with thorazine and i'm going to ask about one just approved chickeon told me about whne i see my new psychiatrist. cheers
