on a side note, in transcribing thomas kirikup's history of socialism, i feel bad this was mao's introduction to socialism. the preface from the editor says that sidney webb will go down in history as a genius equal to marx

Yeah it's kinda weird they went from the OG revisionists to that. Bernstein said he realized he was a revisionist in debating the Fabians and the in the middle of it, while defending Orthodox Marxism, realizing he thought they were right. I'd tried to track down that speech of Bernstein's out of curiosity but I don't think it's recorded.

Karphead i think this thread should be stickied because it encourages productivity in the postingship, through which I may feel accomplished by something analogous to a type of humanism denounced by Sartre, where a human invents the vaping fidget spinner and I think, how proud I am to be part of humanity and take a portion of credit I don’t deserve for something I didn’t do. I finally understand what marx means when he says the classical political economists see commodity exchange as bartering through abstracting money (Say saying that commodities exchange for commodities to deny the possibility of a glut etc), i.e. in only seeing money as a 'veil' and not a store of value. wow! more marxists should talk about money. does comrade boffy talk about money?
