Baby finland is basically the same as thug lessons but somehow more self absorbed and nihilistic. I dont understand why anyone here takes him seriously. Getfiscal is only marginally better but is also a nihilist. More proof that podcasts should be avoided at all costs. Listen to music.
#243
the difference between BF and TL is that they both have bad anti-political opinions but one of them put his anti-politics into practice and is probably a pleasant person to be around and the other runs an anti-"idpol" subreddit and is probably not

Tom is an explicitly anticommunist reactionary, revelling in anti-politics doesnt make them any better.

I don't think getfiscal is a nihilist, he's just sad a lot. If that makes you a nihilist then shit I'm a nihilist too :(

just sayin I'll take an anticommunist reactionary who doesn't do or say anything beyond getting himself banned from twitter twice a month over a """marxist""" anime NEET who spends all day every day making sophistic arguments against the interests of the internally oppressed nations of amerikkka

#251
Getfiscal is great and Tom is his friend

sad crew checking in

Tom seems less online and therefore, less online.
#254
i mean, i'm not going to listen to anyone's podcast anyway, sorry folks, but I'm glad getfiscal is doing something fun for him and i'm sure they both know who's going to come off better to their listeners in that set-up, especially since the listeners are mostly going to come from getfiscal's side, since he can draw in curious twitter followers earned through his meme kung fu while babyfinland can't maintain an account for more than a few weeks before compulsive acting out gets him banned again.
#255
if thug lessons had a podcast i might listen to at least one episode of it and try to figure who exactly he was going after and what that meant in terms of different web sites he visits. it's fascinating to me because on twitter, he'll go into a dive guns blazing on tiny political groups that i thought disappeared in the late '90s, but from his POV they've secretly taken over Congress, and hey, like I'd even notice.

No one's making you take one or the other. Youre listening to toms reactionary nihilism on your own volition

If you dont follow his podcast then fair enough

if nobody can resist that sweet tedious siren song of gossiping about former posters, i'd like to propose that we move this thread to the toilet zone where it can happily float next to its friend the twitter containment unit. i clicked into this thread with an explosion of new posts expecting something interesting to have happened and i think everyone can agree i have a legitimate grievance here

Greenwald and particularly that Tracey guy are wrapped up in feuds with other media people. Tracey is like "I don't care" but he really wants other journos to kiss his hairy feet.

perhaps inevitable that the diaspora would bend toward podcastism. So be it, let this thread too descend to the lower mists

I think a lot of the criticisms here are fair. I've been surprised at how little my skills transfer from forums/Twitter to other things. Another thing that surprised me is really how pleasant it feels to talk about some things and then dump it onto the web and then go do other things. I assumed I would be all nervous about it but instead I'm like "man that wasn't that great but I'll keep working at it." It feels almost healthy, just a fun thing to do with Tom and some of our friends. I probably agreed too much with Tom on the first episodes because we were sort of just rolling and seeing what we thought, since I am a socialist and am still a carelord at heart about such things, but whatever, we'll work it out.

let's make a podcast where we talk about our fav metal riffs, goat-sama

talking about music on a podcast would be fun but it would also just be me listing bands and going "yeah, that band is cool. that's a cool album"
